Women and girls are our main business partner
We believe the importance of role of women in Rwandan agriculture society in general. And empowering women’s group is vital towards increasing small holder farmer’s income level. Cupper Beans ltd empowers women to plant, grow, harvest and sell their own coffee, and earn income independent from their husbands. through their cooperatives, women are trained in good agricultural practices to increase their quality and yield, as well as how to protect themselves and their crops from climate change.

At Cupper Beans Ltd, we are committed to supporting 50 women annually from one of our partner cooperatives by providing training in alternative income-generating activities during the coffee off-season, which runs from August to April. During this period, coffee farms experience reduced activity, presenting an opportunity for these women to diversify their income sources. We offer training in skills such as pottery, specifically in the creation of cups and plates. These handcrafted items are not only purchased by us for use as coffee cups, but we also facilitate connections with potential buyers, including coffee shops and restaurants. This initiative aims to enhance the economic resilience of these women and create additional revenue streams.
